To all Gulfview Plumbing employees, clients, vendors, and associates,
As the effects and health concerns of Coronavirus continue to evolve, we want you to know we are taking preventive measures to combat against the spread of this virus. Gulfview Plumbing has implemented procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for our employees and clients. These procedures include a regular sanitation regime of company vehicles and equipment. These areas include but are not limited to; The sanitation of common or high contact areas on work vehicles and/or equipment.
Each company vehicle will be equipped with a sanitation kit to specifically target Coronavirus. The kit contains a diluted Germicidal solution. This is an EPA approved disinfectant for Coronavirus (EPA Registration No. 70385-6).
Each technician will ensure these procedures are completed after each service call. A “sanitation checklist” must be filled out and attached to the invoice after each service call is completed. A picture of the completed checklist will be sent to the dispatcher before another service call is issued.
Prior to scheduling a service call each client will be asked a series of questions by our customer service representative.
1. Have you or anybody in the household recently traveled outside the country?
2. Have you or anybody in the household come in close contact with anybody that has traveled outside the country or come in contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19?
3. Are you or any member of the household currently experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms?
Any client that answers “yes” to any of these questions will be denied service for a minimum period of two weeks. This includes any service address associated with said client.
In addition to sanitation specifically targeting Coronavirus; Gulfview Plumbing technicians are required to utilize standard safety equipment already on company vehicles. This includes but not limited to; rubber or cloth gloves, face shields, respirators, safety glasses, coveralls, and various other safety items.
Similar sanitation procedures will be performed at our office and warehouse facility. Office and/or warehouse staff will sanitize all common contact areas. These include but are not limited to; door handles, computer keyboards, restroom area, break-room appliances/fixtures, light switches, equipment dolly’s, and trash receptacles. A sanitation checklist must be completed a minimum of two times per day. This will be done in the morning and afternoon. A “sanitation log” will be kept at our office to ensure these procedures are followed and completed each work day.
In addition to the aforementioned sanitation procedures; our employees are urged to educate themselves on steps to take in helping prevent the spread of Coronavirus. The Centers For Disease Control And Prevention (CDC) has outlined these steps on their website. These can be found at cdc.gov or a direct link is available here: https://www.cdc.gov/coron…/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html
Gulfview Plumbing will continue to monitor the recommendations of the CDC and government regulations. Modifications to our company protocol will be made as needed to continually ensure the safety of our employees and clients.
