A disposal problem or a drain problem?
A backed-up kitchen sink does not necessarily mean the disposal itself has failed. The obstruction may be in the connected drain, while a unit that will not run needs a different investigation. Tell us whether both sink bowls are affected, whether the dishwasher is involved, and whether the problem is new or recurring. What to do when something seems wrong
Stop using a unit that is leaking, jammed, or making unusual sounds and call for guidance. Never put your hand into the disposal. Do not keep operating it in an attempt to force an obstruction through. Follow the safety instructions for your specific model; wet electrical connections or a damaged power supply require professional attention.
Garbage disposal repair or replacement
We check the unit and connections, explain what is causing the problem, and compare repair options with the installed cost of a replacement. A replacement disposal will not by itself resolve a separate obstruction farther down the drain.
Choosing a replacement
You do not need to buy a disposal before calling us. Gulfview supplies and installs InSinkErator disposals, including the Badger 5 and PRO750. We help you compare models for your kitchen, including sound level, household use and available cabinet space, and review the installed price before work begins.
Our replacement packages below include the new disposal, removal of the old unit, installation using compatible existing connections, and operation and leak checks. Daily use and care
Follow your model’s instructions. InSinkErator advises using cool running water, feeding waste gradually, and allowing water to run briefly after the unit is switched off. Keep fats, oils, and grease out of the disposal and drain. See InSinkErator’s operating guidance for details. Repeated backups deserve an assessment, not simply a change in cleaning routine.
Garbage disposal starting prices
Unjamming service starting at $275. Includes service labor to attempt to free a jammed disposal, remove accessible debris, and test operation. Unjamming is not a guaranteed repair and carries no warranty. If repair or replacement is needed, we explain the findings and quote additional work for approval.
InSinkErator Badger 5 replacement starting at $595. Includes a new 1/2-horsepower continuous-feed disposal, installation labor, removal of the existing unit, connection to existing compatible plumbing and electrical connections, and operation and leak checks.
InSinkErator PRO750 replacement starting at $715. Includes a new 3/4-horsepower continuous-feed disposal, installation labor, removal of the existing unit, connection to existing compatible plumbing and electrical connections, and operation and leak checks.
Already purchased a disposal? Installation starts at $315. Includes installation of one customer-supplied unit, an existing compatible power-cord connection where applicable, and operation and leak checks. The disposal is not included. Drain-line changes and additional electrical work are excluded; electrical work beyond the existing cord connection requires a licensed electrician.

Cost and warranty
The estimate depends on the diagnosis, equipment, mounting and connections, access, and any additional work. Ask for the scope that applies to your kitchen. Qualifying Gulfview-furnished materials carry a two-year residential parts and labor warranty; customer-supplied materials are excluded. Confirm specific coverage with the estimate. Drain cleaning does not carry a warranty, and manufacturer terms may differ from installation coverage.
