Gas piping and appliance connections

Planning a gas appliance installation or moving an existing appliance? Contact Gulfview about the piping and connection work before arranging delivery. Share the appliance make and model, fuel type, proposed location and whether a gas connection already exists. Keep the manufacturer’s installation information available so the proposed work can be reviewed.

3-foot flexible gas appliance connector furnished and installed: starting at $295. Includes one connector in the 1/2-inch to 3/4-inch connection range, selected for the appliance and existing connections, installation labor, appliance connection, and operation and leak checks. This is a connector installation, not the price of an appliance or a new gas-piping run.

Exposed gas-piping leak repair: starting at $395. Includes furnishing and installing up to 3 feet of 1/2-inch to 3/4-inch black steel or galvanized gas piping and repair labor. Excavation and drywall removal to reach the line are not included. Additional exposed piping is priced separately per foot. We estimate the repair length and access requirements before work; additional scope or charges require your approval.

Ask the estimate to identify the piping and connection work, any required permits or inspections, and which appliance, electrical, venting or restoration work is outside the plumbing scope. A nearby connection alone does not establish that an appliance can be installed without changes. We confirm the proposed scope and price before you approve work.

Suspect a gas leak? Leave the area immediately. Do not try to locate or repair it, operate switches, or use a phone in the affected area. From a safe location, call 911 and your gas provider. Do not wait for an online service request. See Peoples Gas emergency guidance.

Backflow devices and service requests

Backflow prevention concerns unwanted reverse flow into a drinking-water supply. It is different from a sewer backwater valve. The EPA explains the drinking-water concern in its cross-connection and backflow resources.

Need help with a backflow device or a notice from your water provider? Send us the notice, due date and any device information or previous report. We will discuss the repair, replacement or testing you need and confirm reporting requirements before scheduling.

1-inch pressure vacuum breaker furnished and installed: starting at $865. Includes a suitable assembly such as a Zurn Wilkins 720A or comparable model, installation labor, necessary fittings and connections, installation piping modifications, removal of an existing assembly when needed, and operation and leak checks. Confirm any certification testing, permit or reporting requirements in the estimate.

3/4-inch Zurn 975XL2 reduced-pressure assembly (RPZ) furnished and installed: starting at $2,150. Includes the assembly, standard installation materials and labor, and pressure and leak checks. Backflow certification testing is separately priced. Permit or inspection fees, piping modifications outside the immediate installation area, excavation and concrete removal are not included.

These are different assembly types, not interchangeable price options. The selected device must suit the application and installation location. Confirm the required assembly, size and scope with Gulfview before approving work.

Water-line leak repair: exposed from $355; concealed from $650

Each base package furnishes and installs up to 3 feet of 1/2- to 3/4-inch non-metallic water piping (PVC, CPVC or PEX as appropriate). Exposed repair applies to accessible piping; excavation and drywall removal are extra. Concealed repair includes soil excavation or drywall removal and rough-grade soil backfill after testing. Drywall, plaster and landscaping restoration are your responsibility. Additional piping, copper and larger pipe sizes have different pricing. Fixtures furnished and installed

Toilet starting at $615: white Gerber Maxwell, standard-height round-front two-piece model with standard seat. Includes removal of the old toilet and basic installation materials; flange work and some upper-floor or multi-unit labor are additional. Toilet package details.
Bathroom faucet starting at $415: chrome Moen Adler or comparable two-handle faucet for compatible 4-inch-center, three-hole installation, with pop-up drain and braided supplies.

New disposal supplied and installed: starting at $595

Our Badger 5 replacement includes a new 1/2-horsepower unit supplied by Gulfview, installation labor, old unit removal, compatible existing connections, and operation and leak testing. Additional plumbing or electrical changes are separate. Compare disposal replacement options and inclusions.

Disposal unjamming: starting at $275

Includes a clearing attempt, accessible debris removal and operation testing. This is an attempt to restore operation, not a guaranteed repair; unjamming carries no warranty. We explain any recommended replacement or additional work before you approve it.

Sewer, water-service and repipe starting prices

Sewer hydro-jet cleaning from $1,995: sewer-line cleaning, drainage testing and follow-up camera inspection. Separate from whole-home packages; access and pipe condition must be assessed. Drain cleaning carries no warranty. Hydro-jetting scope.

Main sewer installation from $3,600: up to 40 feet of 3-inch or 4-inch Schedule 40 PVC, materials and labor, test fittings, cleanouts and trenching up to 24 inches. Additional length, permits, concrete or landscaping-material removal, deeper excavation and landscape restoration are extra or excluded. Sewer installation inclusions and exclusions.

Main water-service installation from $1,500: 3/4-inch PEX piping, excavation, installation components, main shutoff and thermal expansion device. The proposal defines the included route and length; difficult access and concrete removal are extra. One-bathroom whole-home Uponor PEX-a repipe from $6,500: new hot- and cold-water piping, listed valves and connections, materials, labor and testing. Wall and finish restoration is not included. These starting prices apply to the stated services. Final pricing depends on the equipment, diagnosis, access and installation requirements. For toilets, faucets and water heaters supplied by Gulfview, request an estimate matched to your property and chosen equipment.

Already purchased your own fixture?

Customer-supplied installation is a separate option, not a requirement for Gulfview service. See customer-supplied faucet installation pricing and customer-supplied toilet installation pricing. Those installation prices do not include the fixture. We confirm compatibility, installation scope and applicable workmanship coverage; customer-supplied materials are excluded from Gulfview’s materials warranty.

Pricing and warranty

The estimate depends on diagnosis, access, materials, equipment, the extent of the work, and applicable permit or code requirements. We discuss the proposed scope before you decide how to proceed. GreenSky financing may be available for qualifying projects, subject to credit approval and applicable terms.

Qualifying materials furnished by Gulfview carry a two-year residential parts and labor warranty. A one-year commercial warranty applies where applicable. Customer-supplied materials are excluded, and drain cleaning does not carry a warranty. Ask which terms apply to the work in your estimate.
